Tucked away in the misty hills of Evermoor County stands a crumbling Victorian estate—once the proud campus of Mrs. Olson’s School for the Unusual. Founded in 1879 by the enigmatic widow Eleanor Olson, the school welcomed orphans who didn’t quite belong anywhere else. These were children with “unusual physical attributes”—double-jointed limbs, pitch-black eyes, forked tongues, even children who glowed faintly in the dark. Mrs. Olson claimed they were “gifted,” and promised to give them a future.
Indeed, many graduates found success—if you consider being displayed in carnivals and circuses across America a kind of success. Some called it exploitation. Others said it was the only life they could have had.
But not all of the students graduated.
Local legends tell of a locked wing of the school--Ward C—where children were never seen again. Whispers of experiments conducted under gaslight and chloroform still swirl. Strange lights flickered from the basement at night. Screams would echo down the hallways, and then… silence.
The school closed mysteriously in 1923, after a fire gutted the east wing. No remains were found. Mrs. Olson herself was said to have perished, though no body was ever recovered.
Years passed. The house stood abandoned, but never truly empty. Sightings of pale children in the windows, laughter in the dead of night, and the faint strains of carnival music became common folklore. No one dared enter—until 1986, when the school mysteriously reopened under a new headmistress.
To this day, Miss Veronica Olson, claims to be a distant relative of the original founder. But she looks exactly like Eleanor—every mole, every strand of silver hair. Locals say she hasn’t aged in decades. Some even swear she is Eleanor.
The new school claims to be a sanctuary for “exceptional children.” But the village notices the same patterns emerging: strange deliveries at night, terrified faces peeking from drawn curtains, and students who are never seen leaving. The lights in Ward C flicker once more.
No one knows what truly goes on behind the iron gates. But one thing is certain: Mrs. Olson's School for the Unusual is not just haunted—it is hungry.
And it remembers every child who ever walked through its doors.

Long ago, in the shadow of Mrs. Olson’s School for the Unusual, there were three orphaned brothers—Silas, Edgar, and Felix Tripoli. No one knew where they came from, only that one rainy night in 1887, they were found shivering on the school’s doorstep, identical in their eerie appearance: skin pale as porcelain, noses flushed permanently red, and smiles that seemed to stretch just a bit too far. Some said they weren’t born at all, but created—perhaps by Mrs. Olson herself.
The brothers were inseparable, speaking little but always in perfect unison when they did. They showed a natural flair for performance, particularly clowning. While the other students were taught acrobatics or sideshow illusions, the Tripoli brothers honed their craft in silence—mastering pantomime, juggling, and unsettling feats of contortion. Their wide grins never faltered, even when the school’s darker rumors surfaced.
Upon their graduation, the three vanished for a time. Then, in 1905, posters began appearing across the countryside:
“The Tripoli Brothers Circus – A Show Like No Other.”
It promised wonders and laughter, but those who attended said there was always something… off. The performances were mesmerizing, even hypnotic. The clowns never broke character, never spoke, and always moved in perfect synchronization. No animals, no ringmaster, no trapeze—only clowns. Dozens of them, all eerily similar to the Tripoli brothers.
The circus traveled for decades, but strange incidents followed it wherever it went: guests who left and claimed the world looked different now… children who laughed uncontrollably for days… and performers who were seen entering the big top but never seen again.
In 1947, during a tour in the Pacific Northwest, the circus vanished overnight. Townsfolk awoke to find the tents collapsed, the wagons empty, and not a soul in sight. Only a few blood-red balloons floated in the morning mist, tied neatly to the rusting entrance gate. Authorities investigated, but the trail ended there.
Today, the Tripoli Brothers Circus sits in a forgotten clearing in the woods—silent, decayed, and overrun with vines. The wind sometimes carries faint music, a calliope tune twisted and slowed. Locals warn never to enter the grounds after dark. They say the Tripoli brothers are still there, waiting.
Waiting for the next audience.
And if you hear laughter with no source, or see three pale figures standing still in the fog…
Don’t smile back.
Come on down. We are waiting for you.........
Warning: There will be fog, strobes, darkness and intense themes and scares, along with some gore.
We hope to see you there.
